History
Our experience of the childcare sector dates back to 1978 when the first nursery was opened in Cambridgeshire (trading as Ladybird Day Nursery).
On March 17th 2002, Monkey Puzzle Day Nurseries launched their very first childcare setting in Hertfordshire. For owners Mark and Rebecca Crosby it was the beginning of a hugely successful journey into the day nurseries industry. This dynamic husband and wife team are the originators of the nursery franchise. They pioneered and delivered this highly successful concept over 20 years ago.
Monkey Puzzle Day Nurseries has now grown to over 70 childcare settings nationwide. This makes us the UK’s largest childcare franchise network and the 3rd largest childcare provider overall. We are hugely fortunate to work so closely with our passionate and committed nursery owners, supporting them with the delivery of high-quality childcare.
An ideal career path in early years
These are funded for people of working age in England who have a contract of employment. They are funded via the apprenticeship funding route which is aimed at new and existing staff.
You may be taken on as a young Apprentice under the Apprenticeship wage, or you might be an experienced staff member who is earning a full salary.
Either way you are paid to learn as all aspects of the qualification are delivered in the workplace during work time.
